Owner and Principal
Mark Kennedy, CPA
Mark Kennedy is the Owner and Principal of Kennedy CPA. Mark graduated from the University of Alberta in 2015 with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and went on to article at a local CPA firm in Edmonton.
The opportunity to work at a local firm provided Mark with exposure to a broad range of practice areas, enabling him to develop a well-rounded skill set to meet the needs of his clients. Mark led and managed a team under his care and was the point of contact for some of the firm’s largest real estate, farm, and construction clients.
Mark passed the Common Final Examination (CFE) in 2017 and earned his CPA designation in 2018.
Backed by his managerial experience and technical strengths, Mark has now led his own practice for five years, focused on providing clients with professional, competent, and trustworthy service.
Outside of work Mark enjoys staying active by playing men’s league volleyball, skiing in the winter, and water skiing and golfing in the summer. Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, and their three kids.

Lina Gionet, Associate | Client Services & Executive Support
Lina Gionet is a Bachelor of Business Administration graduate from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), specializing in Accounting. She has experience in both private and public accounting, giving her a well-rounded background in financial reporting, tax preparation, compliance, and advisory services. Lina is also a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, with a strong understanding of cloud-based accounting solutions.
Lina is known for her attention to detail, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing reliable, high-quality service. She takes a practical and personalized approach to her work, helping clients navigate their accounting and financial needs while building strong, trusted relationships.
Lina is passionate about continuous learning and professional growth and enjoys finding ways to make accounting processes more efficient and manageable for her clients. She takes pride in providing thoughtful support and meaningful value to the businesses and individuals she works with.
Outside of work, Lina enjoys life on her acreage with her husband and their two cats. She loves homemaking, taking on renovation projects around their home, and creating a home that feels warm and welcoming. When she’s not working on a renovation or another project around the property, she enjoys getting outdoors and hunting with her husband. She appreciates the balance between her career and the quieter, more meaningful parts of life - spending time with family, enjoying the outdoors, and making a home she loves.
Isaiah Gionet, Associate
Isaiah Gionet is a driven and personable member of the KENNEDY CPA team with a diverse background in entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, and accounting. His experience working with businesses in sales and marketing has given him a unique perspective on the challenges business owners face and the importance of having strong financial information to support growth and decision-making.
Isaiah enjoys building genuine relationships with clients and making the accounting process as straightforward as possible. He believes accounting is about more than numbers - it’s about understanding the business behind them, earning clients’ trust, and helping provide a solid foundation for their goals. He brings a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a genuine desire to help businesses succeed.
Outside of work, Isaiah enjoys spending time outdoors on his acreage with his wife and cats, working on landscaping and making their property a place of peace and enjoyment. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, riding ATVs, and exploring the outdoors, especially when he can share those experiences with his wife, friends, and family.
